Foods That Can Help Prevent Alzheimer's Disease
I finally got a chance to see the film Still Alice a story about a college professor played by actress Julianne Moore who at the early age of 50 was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease which causes severe memory loss. The film tells the story of a women's struggles to stay connected to who she was before she loses all her memory. Alice puts up a fight during each stage of the disease that she can no longer win. This story touched my heart and also made me afraid of the reality and seriousness of this disease. I learned that Alzheimer's Disease not only effects the person who is diagnosed with it, But it also effects your family and loved ones. 
It took me some time to write this blog post because it was very important for me to do my research. I am a huge believer that eating the right foods can naturally prevent and heal sickness. I have honestly had conversations with people who had health problems for example: high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity to name a few. Something so little like changing their lifestyle and the way they ate, juicing, exercise helped reduce the health problems they had. 

Here is a list of important foods that can help prevent and slow down the process of Alzheimer's Disease by protecting cells in the brain from becoming damaged.

Greens & Vegetables: are loaded with rich antioxidants, vitamins, iron and folate that help reduce the risk of Alzheimer's, obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease and more. Kale, spinach, broccoli, mustard greens, collard greens, asparagus, tomato, carrots, beets, squash and pumpkin to name a few.
Nuts: walnuts, almonds, pecans and peanuts contain healthy fats, fiber, nd antioxidants, lowers cholesterol, reduce heart disease and lowers risk of Alzheimer's. 
Berries: are load with antioxidants that help stop inflammation and keep the brain healthy. Blueberries: known as a superfood protects the brain and enhance your memory 
Beans: high in fiber and protein sharpens the brain
Fish: is food for the brain high in Omega 3 Fatty Acids. Eating more fish can lead to larger brain volume and lower blood levels of beta-amyloid a protein that plays a major role in Alzheimer's. Salmon is an amazing fish with many help benefits. 
Olive Oil: Polyphenols are potent antioxidants found in extra virgin olive oil that fight stress and helps to reduce the risk of cancer, high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart disease and Alzheimer's Disease.
Red Wine: is good for the heart and reduces the risk of Alzheimer's Disease.
Green Tea: loaded with antioxidants that protect brain cells and can help prevent the formation of amyloid plaques, and breaks down existing plaques.
Dark Chocolate: contains a chemical that can slow down the progression of the disease
Spices: Cinnamon, Turmeric and Sage are high in antioxidants and gets rid of amino acids that form the plaque in the brain that associated with Alzheimer's 
Tip:
Try to cut down on Bread white and wheat, rice, sugars, pasta, meats and processed foods these increase risk of Alzheimer's Disease
